Comprehensive health assessment for pilots to ensure they meet the medical standards

Welcome to AIM Primary Care! Dr. Sujatha Gerineni is your dedicated provider of Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) services tailored to meet your specific needs. Our comprehensive offerings include:

Core AME Services and Fees:

Second Class Exam: $150.00 for a 30-minute session
Third Class Exam: $150.00 for a 30-minute session
AME Consultation Services: $200.00 for a 30-minute session

Additional Services and Fees:

Audiometric Services: $100.00
EKG (baseline at age 35, annually at age 40 and above): $50.00
Color Vision Testing: Fee Included
Additional fees ($100 for each 30-minute session) may apply to those pilots with complicated medical histories and those who require additional paperwork and related to CACI or other medical conditions for which the FAA requires a status report and test results.

Medical Certification Process:

To obtain a medical certificate, undergo a medical examination by our FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).

Follow these steps:

  • Begin with FAA MedXpress (https://medxpress.faa.gov/) for the initial application. Please note after the application is submitted, your medical examination must occur within 60 days, or your application will be deleted from the MedXpress system.
  • Please provide the MedXpress confirmation number to our office prior to your visit.
  • Please bring all relevant medical records to your appointment.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. Also, we request you provide us with 24-hour advanced notice for cancellation. Missed appointments without advance notification are subject to an additional fee of $75. Payment is expected at the time of service.

Types of Medical Certificate Services We Offer:

2nd Class Medical Certificate: Required for Commercial Pilot, Flight Engineer, Flight Navigator, Air Traffic Tower Operator, and Crop Duster.

3rd Class Medical Certificate: Required for private pilots, recreational pilots, and student pilots.

Medical Certificate Durations: Certificates are renewed periodically based on age and type. For example, third-class medical certificates for pilots under 40 years old are valid for 60 months.
